Privacy at a glance
Sofa Remote does not create an account, display advertising, track you, or send box information to the developer. Remote commands and device discovery stay on your trusted local network.
Information processed on your device
The app stores the compatible box address, preferences, free-command count and lifetime-unlock status on your iPhone. Purchase entitlement and trial state use iOS secure storage. Connection diagnostics can include operational status, but copied reports redact IP, MAC, receiver, serial and viewing-card values.
Local Network access
Local Network permission is used only to discover and control compatible Sky Q satellite boxes on the same private network. Sofa Remote does not use this access to profile other devices or transmit local-network information elsewhere.
Purchases
Apple processes the lifetime purchase. Sofa Remote receives transaction status and a signed App Store receipt so it can unlock the app. The developer does not receive or store your payment-card information. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Data sharing and retention
Sofa Remote does not sell or share personal information. On-device preferences remain until you remove them or delete the app, subject to normal iOS Keychain behaviour. Apple independently retains purchase records so purchases can be restored.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
